Saturday~

A couple of weeks ago I received a virtual invitation for a night on the town with my girlfriends. I was especially thrilled since in past years, I had only been able to spiritually join in the fun and debauchery through pictures shared on Ofoto. Knowing how the girls “dress up” for such events, I managed to find a non-maternity clubbing top that was stretchy enough to accomodate my big belly. Although I only exposed shoulders, I felt somewhat bashful in my outfit.
We went to Beau Coup in The City. The restaurant is beautiful…particularly the gorgeous rich red parlor section we dined in. We sat on plush sofa-seats amidst velvet curtains, dark wood, and candlelight. Our meal was scrumptious. I was really glad I opted not to bring Ashlyn (even though she was originally included in the reservation). It’s really hard to enjoy meals at these places with her. I chuckle every time I think of Wil’s declaration, “There’s more to life than Red Robin, ya know?” HAHAHAHA!
*nodding* I agree. ![]()

Dinner took about 3 hours. By the time we were done, it was almost midnight! The the SF streets were shiny with fresh rain. My babysitters picked me up while my coterie continued their gaiety at a local club.
I am deeply indebted to my babysitters – Aaron, Wing, and Oli, for volunteering to watch Ashlyn and Marisa for the evening. My niece told me they had a super great time as well…they had Italian food for dinner, played “toss” (or was it “tag“?) with Ashlyn’s dirty diaper, and indulged in sundaes at Ghiradhelli Square. ![]()
And they even filled my gas tank, too! *KICKASS!*
Sunday~
I LOVE that Ashlyn enjoys sleeping in. I better revel in it before the new baby comes. ![]()
We woke up before noon, showered, picked up Wing and Tony, and met up with the bunch for brunch in Sunnyvale.
After brunch, and a stroll to the ice cream shoppe (I had a fierce craving for Chocolate Mousse Royale), we went our separate ways.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing with my family. We all went out for a nice dinner together…came home, sat around the dining table, had dessert, fruit, and wine, and talked till midnight. I went around the table giving french manicures to my mom, Sis, and Wil. hehehe

I feel awful for barely speaking to Aric this weekend. Everytime he was free to talk, I wasn’t….and when I was free, he was either at work or it was some ungodly time of day there.
I hope he knows that we miss him dearly and think of him constantly.
