PHOTO-JOURNAL
Saturday~
Wil, Bett, Wing, Em, Oli, the kids, and I caravaned up to South City for Angel and Darwin’s Baby Shower (the soon-to-be parents looked beautiful and beemingly happy!).
After the festivities, my friends accompanied me on a shopping rampage in San Mateo. I’m in the unfortunate stage of not being able to fit into anything I own…maternity clothes have gotten too big, ill-fitting, and frumpy looking, but I’m still much too big for my pre-pregnancy clothes. *BOO-HOO!*
Anyhow, I got a bunch of clothes for myself and my kiddies. *YAY!*
We spent the evening hanging out at Ivy and Oli’s…eating wrapps and watching movies.

Sunday~
My sisters and I got together for a late lunch at CPK. The weather was gorgeous, and we spent a lazy day crusing around, shopping, and running errands.
Tonight I celebrated my best guy-friend’s birthday with his family and close friends. For the past few years, I’ve missed his birthday parties for one reason or another. I was really excited to be able to attend this year!

Had a great weekend! Hope you did too!

Happy Friday! Today was pretty eventful. Mom and Sis took a half-day from work and we had a delightful lunch with our relatives.
Heather and Eva took Ashlyn and Marisa out for the day, and that allowed me to clean house, organize our room, do laundry, and change our linens in peace.
This evening I picked Em up from work and we met up with Bett, Wing, and Sarah at a Cultural Center in Sunnyvale to learn line-dancing (not to be confused with Lion-Dance. HAHAHA!).
My mom is involved in a Line Dance Association…whom are kicking off the opening ceremony at an upcoming Chinese Athletic Competition (and were looking for people to participate).
You know you have awesome friends when they’re open to subjecting themselves to public humiliation upon your request (or begging).
Indeed, MY FRIENDS ARE AWESOME!
We had a really fun time learning tonight. Dance lessons ended kinda late. By the time I got home, both kids were ready for bed (which is rare).
*YAWN!* I’m pooped too!
Wishing you a marvelous weekend!

What do you think?…still look alike?
Now that Summer’s getting older, she’s starting to look less like Ashlyn as a baby. Heck, Ashlyn doesn’t even look like Ashlyn as a baby! hehehe
Differences:
- head and forehead size
- eyes
- nose
- cheeks
- lips
- hands and fingers
- feet and toes
Similarities:
- eyebrows
- chin
- ears
- body
- both look like Aric
Since my sisters and I don’t resemble each other at all, I’ve always wished that when I have kids, they would look similar. Not dead on, but that you could tell they’re siblings. I realize it’s too soon to say…babies change so much with each passing day.
I continue to look forward to seeing more differences and similarities (both, in personality and physical)…as well as celebrating and appreciating their individuality. *clapping* FUN! FUN!

Today Cin, Daisy, Christopher, and Lauren came over to visit. Daisy and I happen to have both our kids at/around the same time. Getting together is such a treat….not only does it give our older kids a chance to play with one another, but it gives us a chance to share and compare stories.
I love watching Christopher and Ashlyn interact. They play very well….both share the same interests and speak the same language. hehehe
Our little ones (though 6 weeks apart) seem worlds apart. Lauren is sturdier (can hold her own head), smiles, coos, and is more alert. Summer just sleeps. hehehe
I know it trips Cin out that two of her bridesmaids’ expectancy schedules were relatively in-sync. Must have been something in the water. HAHAHA!

We had a lovely day!

For someone who doesn’t know how to swim, Ashlyn loves wearing bathing suits. Just look at how ridiculously happy she is prancing and posing in her swim-dress. HAHAHA!
So cute!
Today Ashlyn got to put her bathing suit to good use and went to the pool with Heather, Marisa, Vincent, and Emily. I had my 6-week OB follow up, but joined up with them afterward. The weather was amazing.
When I got there, I noticed that Ashlyn only played around the pool, but not in it. I urged her to go in, but she refused. I found out later that while playing in the jacuzzi with everyone (prior to my arrival), she had unknowingly stepped off the sitting area into the middle of the hot-tub and got completely submerged. Heather said she was pulled out instantly….but needless to say, her face got wet, she got a mouthful of water, and freaked out.
Poor girl.
Ashlyn spent the rest of the afternoon, playing poolside…chasing after her cousins from one end of the pool to the other as they swam. When she finally got into the pool, it was only to sit in an inflatable racecar. hehehehe
Since coming back from the pool, she’s been asking if she can go swimming again.
I should enroll Ashlyn in swim lessons…she would love it!
