Today Sarah and Jasper drove down for a visit. We had a leisurely lunch and spent the afternoon hanging out and catching up while the kiddies played.
Jasper is a cutie-pie….his shy and gentle demeanor, his quiet curiosity, his cautious and observant nature. So different than that of Summer….who was loud, active, bold and grabby. hehehe
And just when Jasper was getting comfortable, it was time for them to leave. I walked Sarah and Jasper to the car. He didn’t want to sit in his carseat and cried (the kind that breaks your heart and want to give in to his every whim). Sarah, being the sweet and patient person she is, sat him in her lap, comforted him, and attempted to put him in his seat again. After a few tries, she told me not to wait around and go inside. I complied (since I thought my presence was causing Jasper to cry more).

40 minutes later, I get a call:
Sarah: “guess where I am?”
Peg: “where are you?”
Sarah: “I’m at [grocery store down the street].”
Peg: “what?!…what happened?”
Sarah: “Jasper was crying so hard that I had to pull over.”
Peg: “oh no…well, come back then.”
Sarah: “he won’t go back in his carseat without crying.”
Peg: “well, you’re not that far…you can drive with Jasper in your lap like Britney Spears.”
Sarah: *laughing* “nah, it’s okay.”
Peg:
Hope they got home okay. Thanks, Sarah! I miss you already!
