***Fish Update***
Whoa!…our sick fish has made a full recovery! After five days of antibiotics and being in quarantine, our sick fish’s belly deflated to half the size and it began swimming right side up again. I put the no-longer-ailing fish back into the original tank to rejoin its family.
It’s doing great. If it weren’t for the missing scales (from the “procedure“), I wouldn’t be able to tell the fishes apart.
*breathe and buff nails on shirt* Damn, we’re good….you think Wil and I can become back alley vets?!

Oh shit…there’s a raging fire in the area!
The fire started this morning at 4:28 AM and has consumed 1,200 acres so far. U.S. Forest Service,
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Orange County Fire Authority, Anaheim Fire Department, and Orange Fire Department are putting their best efforts in containing the damage.
I just heard that 800 homes and 2 schools have been evacuated. I’m worried. As I sit here awaiting new news, I hope and pray that it doesn’t spread any further.

We had a really fun weekend. On Saturday, Ashlyn was invited to a big girl birthday party (her friend turned 9). Minji had her party at Tustin Lanes, and it was Ashlyn’s first time bowling. Even though it was bumper bowl, she did impressively well. In the beginning, she had a difficult time getting the heavy ball down the lane. A couple of times the ball rolled so slow that it would stop altogether before reaching the pins.
But her game improved at each turn, and she ended up scoring a 54 in the first game (spare included!)
We had a yummy lunch with birthday cake, and played arcade games before heading home. I had left Summer at home with her grandfather and Netty. Although we were only gone for about 3 hours, I really missed the lil’ one. Ashlyn took a nap when we got home so Netty and I took Summer to the nearby park to play.
Saturday night was spent having dinner with the in-laws and chilling at home.
On Sunday, we went to Ana’s birthday party.

I find the above picture utterly adorable! It was taken last month at Alex’s birthday party. I love how the two lil’ girls sat (after the pinata) to enjoy their sweets together. SOOOOO CUTE!

A huge THANKS to
Julie and Kevin for a wonderful time! They are such hospitable peeps with really cool friends and family. I embarassed myself by mistaking Julie’s dad for her brother.

It was taken in jest…
but seriously, if you saw him, you’d think so too.
Afterwards, we made a Costco run then went over to James and Grace’s to watch the Superbowl (not that I did…only the last quarter). We had a scrumptious dinner….grilled up some steaks…the best I’ve had in a looooong time.
Yesterday was also my godfather‘s birthday. I miss him.
Hope you had a fun weekend too!
