Your Weekend Update kids & puppy
Mar 27

We began our weekend with dinner and karaoke on Friday night with friends. I’ll admit…I’m shameless. I’m the kind of person who thinks she can sing (but really can’t) and ends up hoarding the mic all night. Then you have Aric….who sings great, but doesn’t, because he doesn’t think so (or is too shy/self concious). Ashlyn joined in when a JoJo song came on (”Leave/Get Out”). She only knew the chorus and hummed the rest…but it was cute nevertheless.

On Saturday, the surprisingly nice weather allowed for us to enjoy lunch outdoors and a trip to the park with friends. By evening, the weather changed drastically with drizzly rain and fog. After the kiddies’ bath and afternoon nap, we ran some errands then had a late dinner at Jerry’s Famous Deli.

Sunday was mostly spent at home….a bit of spring cleaning. I attempted to tackle the mess and clutter in our dining area…which ended up being a bigger task than I had anticipated and it put me in a horrible mood. The kitchen is clean, but the dining area is a mess….it’s “home” to our extensive art/craft/paint/crayon/marker/pen/paper/play-doh supply, mountains of mail and magazines, my sewing/embroidery machine, Patrick’s DVD collection, cases of drinking water, the vacuum cleaner, and unused coffee table. Sometimes our dining table barely had space for us to eat. And for those that know me…that drives me nuts.
Anyhow, it took all day and evening AND there’s still a lot of stuff in the dining area…but at least it’s organized clutter.

Hope you had a nice weekend!

That messy dining area? “It’s home”… And when you look back later on, after all the kids are on their own, you’ll wish there was some clutter around- well that’s what my mom said about the clutter she used to have at home lol
