Since we won’t be together during our anniversary, Aric surprised me with an early celebration and tickets to “Quidam”!
Having already seen Cirque du Soleil’s “Allegria”, “Dralion”, and “Varekai” (and loving them all), I was giddy with excitement and anticipation!
Miss Tankbear and her THK saw it last night and thought it was creepy. Since this was going to be a family affair, I was really worried about how it might affect the kids….especially with Ashlyn’s current scaredy-cat phase. But the only thing I ended up worrying about was the possibility of things hitting/landing on us (which has happened before) sitting in the front row. Much to my delight, the kiddies LOVED it…both pointing and clapping with enthusiasm all night.
I have to admit, it is darker than the other shows I’ve seen, but breathtaking nevertheless. Our favorite was the Chinese Yo-Yo act. The young girls were adorable and amazing!
*sigh* My hubby is the best!!! He definitely knows the way to my heart…a lovely eveing and a late night snack of Del Taco’s steak n egg burrito!

that was my first experience of CDS and probably one of my favorites (I’ve seen Varekai, Dralion and Allegria too!). Doesn’t that show have some big explosions in it? I thought those were kinda scary. I saw it at the OC fairgrounds (back in ‘98?) and neighbors were complaining about the noise. hehe.

i’m sorry to have made you worry unnecessarily- Ashlyn and Summer must have bigger balls than both thk and I put together!
