I’m finally back from my unintended hiatus….and I have 4 new lovely friends to thank for the inspiration.

Saturday, I joined Kinsiekins, Reef, Spinninghead Lady, and Tankbear for an afternoon of complete gluttony. Ladies after my own heart, we gorged on all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, Pinkberry yogurt, and a humongous bowl of IceKiss shaved ice. It was such a pleasure meeting them, and I found it especially warming that we all simply “clicked”. Which is saying a lot since my recent debacle in forming fellowships with other moms at Ashlyn’s school. I loved all the stories shared and just being in the company of really genuine people. THANKS, gals! I can’t wait till our next outing! Also, I apologize if I talked interrupted too much….a result of the lack of adult conversions during the week.

While I was having so much fun in LA, my kiddies were having so much fun with their daddy at the park. THANKS to my wonderful hubby!
I was gone longer than expected (although it didn’t seem long enough. hehe), plus the time stuck in LA traffic, I got home after dark. Aric and I gave the kiddies a bath, then we had dinner (hotdogs, popcorn, and icees) at the movies and took in a showing of “Flushed Away”.

Sunday, we spent the day with my father-in-law and Netty. We had lunch at my new favorite eat – Sin Ba La in Arcadia, and hung out at the house. It was terribly relaxing…I watched TV and napped a lot.
This past weekend was much more laxed than the previous weekends. The month of October was so busy for us. Aside from Ashlyn’s birthday party, we attended at least one celebration (birthday and/or baby shower) every weekend! We also made a couple of trips to Disneyland, a few trips to the pumpkin patch, as well as a trip to Tanaka Farms with Ashlyn’s classmates. We also had a visit from Wil, Ivy, Bett, and Chew, a visit from my cousin – Eva, and a visit from my niece – Amanda (who was on a service break from Iraq). With my father-in-law recovering post surgery, we made a few trips to the hospital during the weekdays. Lastly, we can’t forget Halloween. That pretty much wraps up our month of October in a nutshell. *whew* I get tired just recounting all the events.

I just ate at Sin Ba La last week. It’s pretty good but crowded. Stuck to the Sausages and Garlic and stayed away from the Sausages and Chocolate!

The Disney princesses were all the rage this year, as EVERY princess was represented at J’s school too.
