Last year I made a “To Do” list for us to do around the house. We accomplished almost all the things on our list (ie. paint the kids’ bathroom, build an end-of-hall shelving/cabinet unit, clean and organize garage and home office, plumbing work, and donate/throw things out). Over the weekend, Aric completed the first “To Do” for this year….a new entertainment system. We got a new 47″ 1080P LCD TV. Aric moved the old TV up to our room, and built shelves in the cut-out where the old TV used to sit. My hubby did an awesome job! And with the entertainment stand gone, it freed up some space in the living room. Woo-hoo!
Honestly, I didn’t think we needed a new TV at all. I was perfectly happy with our old one….until now. OMG…HDTV! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! YOU ROCK!!!
Aric and I have been watching lots of television and movies on DVD. 
Another change around here is hair. A new look for the new year. I got color, red highlights, and layers. It’s been a week and I’m still not used to it. The kiddies got their locks lopped too…took them to get a real haircut for the first time a couple of weeks ago. They loved it, and they looked so cute sitting in the chair.
I haven’t been taking as many photos as I used to….and I should. Both girls are growing so fast. Here are some pictures from our trip to Alpine Slide. It was the girls’ first time in the snow and they absolutely LOVED it! I normally can’t stand cold weather (it was 11 degrees that weekend), but the sheer joy on my kiddies’ faces kept me warm. Cheesy, I know, but it’s true. Enjoy!

i like your new hair–so stylish! lcd tv (with a dvr) is at the top of our wishlist. yeah, everything’s so worth it when you see the precious look on your child’s face. p.s. manny and i are dying to know the answer to the riddle. he guessed brother, but that soft and furry part is weird. my only guess was shadow, but shadows don’t eat bugs. i still have no clue what fits those categories so well that a child could answer it.
