CURRENT WEAKNESSES: Starbucks’ Eggnog Latte and Crunchy Cheetos

I must be completely narcissistic to continue to update this Body Challenge….even when I pathetically failed at losing a single pound in the last 2 months! :lol:
Not bad considering how much (and how often ) I ate last month while on vacation. Wil thinks that if I attempted to exercise regularly, my weight loss would be significant.

Nevertheless, my body shape has changed and I am starting to feel like my old self. However, I’ve come to realize that no matter how much weight I lose, I will probably never wear my old clothes again. :sad: Sad. Looking through my closet in SoCal, I noticed that aside from jackets, coats, sweaters, and formal dresses, my style in clothes have changed. I like my tops much longer and my bottoms much looser. Pregnancy can do that to you.
Another sad realization is that I’ve lost the bountiful bustline that came with breastfeeding. And to add insult to injury, my chest is smaller than before! :cry:

After this holiday season, I’m really going to apply myself. *cross fingers*

CURRENT WEAKNESSES: Hershey’s Toffee & Almond Kisses and Mountain Dew Pitch Black

WHAT IS UP WITH ALL THIS LOOSE SKIN?! It makes me reconsider my own personal nip/tuck debate. :???:

Even though I can fit into my old jeans, it’s really not the same with excess wrinkly skin hanging over the waistband. *eek* Especially the low waisted jeans/pants these days….so unflattering. Nowadays I don’t dare try to get into jeans….rather, I opt for track pants, linen capris, and skirts. *sigh*

I’m dropping weight ever so slowly. Not bad considering my lazy inactiveness, lack of motivation, and my complete neglect of a healthy diet. *tsk tsk*

(3 months into challenge)

WEIGHT LOSS SINCE PREVIOUS UPDATE: 2 pounds
TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 37 pounds
CURRENT WEAKNESSES: Starbucks’ Caramel Macchiato and french fries with ranch.

I’ve started taking a 2-hour dance class once a week. It totally helps. If not for weight loss, it helps reduce stress, builds energy and stamina, and gets me out of the house to interact socially with new people….plus, it’s fun! :mrgreen:

I also have a waist now, and am beginning to fit into my old pre-pregnancy clothes. Horray for that! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

But I noticed that even though I watch what I eat and have been exercising and staying active, my weight loss has slowed down tremendously now. I fear the last 13 pounds will be the toughest to shed. Wish me luck.

CURRENT WEAKNESSES: Otter Pops and Pepperidge Farm’s Soft Baked Chocolate Caramel Chunk cookies.

[Steps on scale....looks down....rub eyes....looks down again] :shock: *WOO-HOO!*

Weighing in this morning was a complete shock. I was fully prepared to not have lost any weight this past month.
I have been horrible at sticking to my diet and I totally slacked off on my daily exercises….YET, I STILL LOST 7 POUNDS!!! Unbelievable!!!

Makes me wonder how much I could have lost if I really applied myself. But then, that has always been my problem….I’m lazy.

Back in the day, if I needed to squeeze into a tight dress, I would fast. I would rather skip meals than exercise. It’s so unhealthy. I realized that I can’t do that anymore. It’s no longer about squeezing into a tight dress or “skinny” jeans. I want to be able to keep up with my kiddies at the park. I want to be able to have races with them (and win). hehehe
I feel bad every time I decline Ashlyn and Marisa’s invitation to play with them outside. It’s not because I’m too adult to play children’s games…it’s because my fat ass can’t keep up. :neutral:

I hope Wing’s not too disappointed with me. I better get my butt in gear.

(1 month into challenge)

WEIGHT LOSS SINCE PREVIOUS UPDATE: 8 pounds
TOTAL WEIGHT LOST: 28 pounds
CURRENT WEAKNESSES: Orville Redenbacher’s Smartpop! Kettle Corn and Coke’s new C2.

YAY! I’m slowly getting there. All the the new non-maternity clothes I bought a month ago fit so much better (not as snung across the midsection). Unfortunately the cargo capris I love (and other bottoms) have become too loose….prompting me on a constant search for new pants, jeans, or skirts. Wil often chides me for buying (or searching to buy) bottoms since she foresees continual weight loss in the months to come. She’s right…I should hold off for a while, but my vanity gets the better of me. :razz:

The problem with the weight loss now is all this loose skin! I remember having this problem with Ashlyn as well. There’s not much you can do about that but wait. Hopefully crunches will help speed things up.

My diet consists of: one serving of meat at lunch and dinner, one measured cup of starch a day, all the veggies I want, and regulated fats and sugars (fruits, snacks, and soda). If you don’t know what size a ‘serving’ is, I was instructed to put my thumbs and index fingers together to form an oval. What fits inside that oval is a serving. :sad: *Boo-Hoo*….I have small hands.
The first week, I was terrribly miserable. I was hungry ALL the time and voiced my unhappiness to Wing often. hehehe
Since then, I’ve gotten used to it and have become more concious of what I consume.

Exercise is good…although I haven’t been very disciplined in keeping with it daily. I admit, I’ve lost some motivation and momentum since the July 4th Weekend Getaway. :oops:
But I’m getting back on track.
