hair clips ala peg

Remember when I made those hair clip keepers a while back? Well, lately I’ve been trying my hand at making hair clips….mainly because I can’t stand paying more than $3 per hair clip at stores. Anyhow, my hobby kinda spawned a life of it’s own and now I’ve made enough hair clips to open up a teeny-tiny shop.
To date, I’ve sold over a hundred dollars worth of clips/headbands/clip keepers…but mostly to friends and relatives.

Tomorrow I’ll be hosting my first second official Barrette Party (the first Barrette Party consisted of Sue and Grace. hehehe). I’ve decided to extend an invite to moms of Ashlyn’s classmates (after much encouragement from one fellow mom). Wish me luck!

BTW, I still owe some of you hair clip keepers…and I haven’t forgotten. I just gotta get my lazy butt to the post office. :P

I used to keep Ashlyn and Summer’s barrettes in a plastic container. But in order to find a matching hairclip, I had to empty the entire container out on the counter. It was kind of a hassle. Then I saw a cute ribbon thingy hanging in Lauren’s bedroom that kept all her barrettes/clips in order, and was totally thinking, “I can make that.”

And I did!

In fact, I made a bunch. Does anyone want one?….anyone?…anyone?…. Amy, Carolyn, Cyn, Dina, Evangeline, Gracie, Jenni, Julie, Nikki, Virginia???

Heard that they retail at the hair accessories kiosk for $12! But I’ll give it to you for FREE. hehehe  Let me know.
