I spent the day with my mom and Ashlyn...shopping, preparing snacks, and packing for Ivy's much anticipated bachelorette weekend. Since Ivy's NOT the kind of gal who likes getting dolled-up, bar-hopping, clubbing, or the exotic male dancer thing....the bridesmaids planned an intimate and relaxing surprise weekend getaway up in Calistoga, doing the spa thing instead. I picked up Wil from work, and together we picked up the rental car (a minivan) and everyone else at Ivy's.

Thanks to Mayu for all her knowledge and research, we chose Indian Springs
, and we stayed at Hill House.
Amidst all the bungalows, Hill House is a cute lil' cottage that sits privately atop a hill overlooking the resort and it's Olympic-sized Mineral Pool. The cottage is really cozy and charming. The interior decor is very.....uh, Martha Stewart. Cute. Girly.
We checked in around 9:30pm. Unloaded the car and unpacked our stuff. We had a late dinner, feasting over unagi donburi, spam musubis, spinach salad, fruit, crackers, salami, cheeses, pate, crudite, and dip in front of the fireplace. We had considered all going down for a dip in the heated Mineral Pool, but it was much too cold...I think it was 28 degrees out!!! So we ended up talking and playing drinking games till 2am. Since we all have spa appointments early in the day tomorrow...we reluctantly called it a night.

Here are some pictures from today:
