Wing and Ashlyn

Today I met up with Wing and Sarah for lunch at TK Noodle House. I was supposed to meet Wing for lunch yesterday, but lunch plans weren't quite clear (...okay, fine, I flaked)...but I still think the plans weren't crystal clear. Regardless, we met up today....and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise since Wing got to eat with not ONE, but TWO pretty girls today (Sarah and Ashlyn...what did you think I meant?) hehehehe
Afterwards, Sarah and I went to Valley Fair to walk around. I had some things to return, and Sarah needed to buy a gift. I'm really impressed by how much that mall has changed. They added a bunch of cool shops, and come March, more shops will open up (ie...Louis Vuitton, BCBG, Max Mara, etc...) No need to run all the way to Stanford Shopping Center for the high-end stores. What am I saying?...South Coast has pretty much everything I need. Sarah and I spent a good amount of time in Pottery Barn Kids. I love that place! Everything is so cute!

Sarah and I walked the entire length of the mall a few times over, stopped off for cherry lemonade, corn dogs, and cinnamon pretzels. We parted right before dinner since I had dinner plans with my family. "Franks, Sarah, for spending the whole day wif me...I had funs!" (spoken in Sarah's baby-like voice) =D

Our family had dinner at the same restaurant we go to for every family dinner for the last 20+ years - China Station. It's this old converted barn off of Monterey Hwy in San Jose. It's a modest little place with delicious "home-style" cooking. Wil, Tony, Adie (my other brother-in-law), my niece Marisa, my cousin Stella, her family and in-laws joined us. It was a special treat to be able to see everyone before Ashlyn and I head back home.

Ashlyn and Grandma...laughing

Well, Ashlyn turned 4 months old today! So what have I noticed about her this month? Aside from smiling a lot, she's laughing a lot too. It's really cute. She has total head control now, enjoys standing up (assisted, of course), and is starting to grab at things. She has also learned to be vocally demanding. She likes watching colorful things and responds to music, singing, and chatter. I can't believe how much she's grown and developed this past month....and I think her daddy will trip out when he sees her!

I spent the rest of the night doing laundry, packing, and cleaning up the room that we stayed in. Sis, Heather, and Eva kept me company while I went about gathering all my stuff. I've accumulated so much on my visit this time and have NO idea how I'm going to carry it all back tomorrow! *zoiks!*
I had a great time visiting my family and friends. I've done so much in the past month than I have in a long time, and Ashlyn and I am really going to miss everyone.
