03.21.02 Last night I complained to Aric that I wasn't really happy with my haircut. I gave myself several days to get used to it, but it just wasn't doing anything for me. Sean did a nice job of styling it, but once I showered, it was hard to replicate the look. It kinda reverted back to my old hairstyle. =/ Glenda said that she noticed, that day, that I wasn't wild about it. Well yeah...I wasn't about to say anything while Sean was doing cartwheels and raving about how great it looked. So anyhow, Aric urged me to call the salon and see if they can do something about it. Today
I called the salon and told the receptionist, and she hooked me up with
another appointment and another stylist, free of charge. *sweet!* I
was worried that Sean might be there and that I was going to utterly
offend him. Luckily it was his day off! *whew* I told the new stylist
exactly what I wanted, and at the last minute I decided to add copper
and brown highlights. She did a kickass job! I walked away feeling really
good. Ashlyn was wonderful. She waited patiently for me for nearly two
hours.
I spent the afternoon doing a few loads of laundry and playing with Ashlyn. I don't know what the occasion was, but Aric came home from work and took us out to dinner tonight. We had sushi at Taiko. Aric remembers going there a lot during his college years. It was a popular place to go....and still is...for a Thursday night, that place was packed! The wait was an hour long! The Combos are pretty good, sushi's fresh, service is friendly, the restaurant's clean, and the price is reasonable. TAIKO Afterwards we met up with Brian and Grace at Tapioca Express for Boba tea, then headed over to Ed and Sue's. Grace, Sue, Ashlyn, and I just watched TV while the guys did some computer stuff. Ashlyn's very popular among all her "aunties" and "uncles". Everyone seems to want a picture with her...even the camera-shy peeps.
Wey:
"P.Diddy, I'll come pick you up around 3 or 4pm." VEGAS,
BABY, VEGAS! "You're so money and you don't even know it!" I guess now is a good time to read up on Matty's gambling tips. hehehe I rarely play tables though. I lack the confidence. Whenever I sit at a blackjack table, I turn dumb. Simple arithmetic proves to be a difficult task. I also take too long to decide if I should hit or stay...in fear of jacking up the hand for the rest of the table. I'm more comfortable trying my luck with the One-Armed Bandit or a no-brainer game like Sic-Bo. hehehe But I doubt I'll be gambling this time. Just looking forward to seeing the posse. City of Sin...here I come! =)
Journal posts and pictures to resume on Monday. Have a great weekend! |
