Today Ashlyn, Patrick, and I went to Sea World in San Diego with Eleanor, Nathan, William and their friends for William's 5th birthday. It's been ages since I went to Sea World. It's changed quite a bit. We were concerned about the foul weather since the morning started out drizzly and cold, but it warmed up a bit by the afternoon. We spent the day enjoying the Dolphin pool, Shamu show, tide pools, ray pools, aquarium, Sea Turtle exhibit, Shark encounter, Sea Lion & Sea Otter show, Moray Eel exhibit, and Penguin exhibit. I don't think we got to see the entire park...but with our lil' ones, we frequented the restrooms and snack stands the most. hehehe
It was a nice leisure day. We did a whole lotta walking and got some sun, too!

After the park closed, we headed into San Diego's Old Town for dinner. We ate at Acapulco's. There are actually much better restaurants in Old Town, but the average wait on a Saturday night was an hour! The young 'uns were pretty hungry and tired, so we just ate there.
We didn't get home until close to midnight...Aric called me a couple of times wondering when I would be back. Poor guy couldn't join us today because he had school. I didn't plan on staying out as late as I did, but I'm glad I did...it gave me a chance to spend time with Eleanor, Nathan, William, and my bro-in-law, Patrick. Eleanor, Nathan, Patrick, and I spent the entire car ride talking...and for me, that was the best part of the day. =) Eleanor and Nathan are such fun, warm, and wonderfully generous people. Thanks, NEWT!
Also a big hug and Thanks to Patrick who watched and cared for Ashlyn all day.

After I got home and put the baby down to bed, I was pretty darn tired that I could barely keep my eyes open. But Aric was excited to hear about my day. I shared every detail of the day..down to "who did this and that" and "who said what", etc...
Aric: "So, did you go to the Budweiser Beer School at Sea World?"
Peg: "No. I didn't even see it."
Aric: "Aww, you missed out."
HELLO...I was at a five year old's birthday party!...like I would go get my beer-making certificate at Sea World. *pause* Yeah...next time. hehehehe
