HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ED!

(Ed and Sue at Brian & Grace's Wedding-Aug. 2001)
To Ashlyn's Godfather, Aric's "brother", and my dear friend~ Wishing you the best!
Your love and friendship continues to touch our lives with each passing day.
I believe this year will be filled with many wonderful moments and memories to cherish for years to come! =D

Today was a quiet day. I did some laundry, picked up around the house, cleaned bathrooms, read, watched TV, checked email, and sorted through regular mail. Ashlyn back to her old self again...not cranky like yesterday. =)

Aric's leaving for China again on business...this time Ashlyn and I might go with him. The only problem is, it doesn't leave me much time to get Ashlyn a passport. Not to mention, my own passport doesn't reflect the name change since I've gotten married. =/
I swear whenever I travel abroad, I always encounter some sort of passport problem. If it isn't one thing, it's another. The thought of traveling to China is very exciting though, and that's incentive for me to do whatever I can to get the ball rolling on this passport thing. =D

It was a scorcher of a day today, and by mid-afternoon, the house was a sauna. I opened all the windows to allow the breeze to cool the air. Because the houses here are built pretty close together, I usually don't like opening the windows much. Whenever my neighbors windows are open, I can hear everything they say and vice versa. I worried that Ashlyn's newfound delight in screaming might bother them. But *shrug* what can you do, ya know?

Aric had school tonight. Ashlyn and I just stayed in. I watched a back-to-back episode of "Dawson's Creek", "The Practice", MTV's "EMerican Made" and "Diary", and the news.
Ashlyn's mastered the art of rolling. One minute she's lying next to where I'm sitting, the next minute she's rolled ten feet away and playing with my shoe! *sigh* She's becoming quite a handful. I don't like keeping her in the playpen...it looks like baby-jail and I don't want Ashlyn to grow to hate that thing. The only time I put her in there is when she's sleepy and close to napping. Good thing she still enjoys her MegaSaucer. =)

Not much going on here...tomorrow should be a more eventful day. G'Nite!
