HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MARY!

Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jrod!

Last night Aric worked on the computer stuff with the guys until past 3am. Then this morning he got up around 7:30 to make a delivery with James in LA. My poor husband must be so tired! =(
Today we had a little BBQ in celebration of Bett's visit. It was a small gathering. Rob and Brooke came over early and brought us lunch from Oscars. Brooke, Bett, and I ate and watched "Monster's Ball" while Rob worked on his car in the driveway. "Monster's Ball" was an interesting movie. I can't tell you how disturbing it is on so many different levels. I can see why Halle Berry won an Oscar for her performance though...and if you're a Halle Berry fan, you'll enjoy seeing her nudity scenes....she shows a whole lotta skin in this flick!
Our afternoon was nice and lazy. While the fellas grilled and hung out in the backyard, Bett, Brooke, Ashlyn, and I watched several movies. After "Monster's Ball", we watched ""Down to Earth" and "Spiderman". We would have popped in "Bridget Jones' Diary" next if the guys didn't come in and take over the remote control. The rest of the afternoon, we watched "World Rally Car Championship".

Jeff showed up last. Rob and Brooke left shortly afterward. I felt kind of bad for Jeff...by the time he came, the food was almost all gone and everyone had food-coma and eventually fell asleep. I channel-surfed, but nothing good was on TV. I finally settled on MTV's "Tom Green's Monkey Subway Hour". I've seen it before, but not in it's entirety. What can I say?...Tom Green boasts his buffoonery in Japan in a way only he can. Things got pretty boring. Wey left, then Jeff followed shortly after. Wow, do we know how to throw a party or what? =P As Ashlyn, Aric, and Bett napped, I watched a "Mortuary Special" on Discovery. Educational, but very morbid. =/
Heeeeey...who slipped a sedative in the food?!
Aric and Bett slept from 8:30pm to 1am! Somewhere in between, Ashlyn and I played together, I gave her a bath and a feeding, and we played a little bit more before she went to bed. Then I cleaned up kitchen, living room, did dishes, checked email, and watched "Labor and Delivery" and "Trading Spaces" on TLC. My darlin' Bett woke up around 1am, hugged me, then headed up to bed. As much as I hated to disturb Aric, I had to wake him up and drag him upstairs.

I didn't see Josh today. He was planning on visiting the area this weekend, but postponed his trip for another time. *bummer*
Anyhow....like always, I'm the last to sleep in this house. *YAWN!* G'Nite!
