Every night on the cruise, our cabin steward would turn down our beds and leave a mint on the pillow along with a cute towel animal. Adorable, huh? Just wanted to share.

Yes, I'm back. I'm just trying to resume my old routine with Ashlyn. I'm slowly downloading all my pictures from the trip...but I can tell you right now that picking through them and resizing them for the journal is going to be hard. It's going to take me a bit longer to backload everything. So please be patient with me.
I spent the day doing more laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning up around the house. I got sleepy this afternoon and napped when Ashlyn napped.
I got so spoiled on the ship. hehehe

Since returning, I've been fighting bouts of dizziness and swaying. I got emails from the other girls complaing about the same thing. I heard that's normal though. I'm also going through girlfriend withdrawal. =P

Oh, before I forget...I just wanted to tell you what a great guy, wonderful father and husband Aric is. I'm truly lucky to have him! Initially I had my worries about leaving Ashlyn with Aric... because up until now, I always took care of EVERYTHING and always thought ahead for the three of us so he wouldn't have to. So I didn't know how it would be for him to completely take over for an entire week. I should give him more credit. He definitely rose to the occasion and did such wonderful job with Ashlyn while I was gone. Even last night, before we went to bed, he was giving me Ashlyn's schedule: "she'll wake up around [xyz] time, and she'll want to eat around
[xyz] time, and she'll nap around [xyz] time"...etc..etc. It was cute and I was smiling inside thinking how funny our roles seemed to have reversed. And now I feel as though some of the responsibilities has been lifted off my shoulders and we share in them equally. I also noticed a closeness and bond between father and daughter...moreso than before and it warms my heart!

Tonight Aric, Ashlyn, and I went shopping at Target, picked up dinner at Oscars, and popped in "Ali". I'm going to keep this journal short since I still have much to do. G'Nite!
