HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DAD!

I have your eyes, your nose, your lips, your appetite, and your sense of humor.
I wish to have your patience, your kindness, your determination, and your strength.
I LOVE YOU!

My niece, Marisa, didn't have school today (teacher in-service or something), so she came over bright and early to hang out with me and Ashlyn. After breakfast, I took both kids to run errands and place food orders for Ashlyn's big party this Saturday.
My friend, John, drove down to visit. We had a late lunch at Southland Taste in the Wolfe Plaza then went over to Lollicups in Cupertino for boba tea. Then I dragged John all around town to finish off the remainder of my errands.

Tonight my family and I went to my dad's favorite Chinese restaurant to celebrate his birthday. We all had a great time and ate way too much! *burp* =D
At home, we popped in a DVD and just hung out.

Spending the entire day with Marisa and Ashlyn pooped me out. I'm not sure if all nine-year olds are like this, but my niece has sooooo much energy. She skips around, runs, jumps, bounces, and talks really fast....ALL DAY LONG! Sometimes I can't understand a word she says. Oh, and if she gets really excited about something, then whoa, stand back!...she sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks on fast-forward. She's hyperactive. She reminds me of Jamie Lynn Spears (Britney's lil sis)....show-offy in a spazzy sort of way. Don't get me wrong...it's cute...but I can only handle it in small doses. =P Hmmm, I wonder if I was like that?

I've been going to bed much eariler these days...usually right after Ashlyn goes to bed. The past couple of nights I missed Aric's call. It feels like it's been a while since we last talked. I wonder if he's doing okay. I'll try to stay up later tonight.
