Today, my best guy-friend and I met up for our annual Christmas shopping. I wasn't sure how we were going to do it this year, with me living so far away. We had even talked about him possibly making a trip down to visit, but it all worked out in the end. *whew* I'd hate to break tradition. We met up in San Mateo (the halfway point to where we both live), so I found myself at Hillsdale Mall again. John wanted to go to the outlets in Gilroy, but I had dinner plans with Rich, Millie, Sarah, and Joyce in SF. Unfortunately, Rich had called late in the afternoon to cancel due to Millie's medical emergency. I hope she's okay. =/
I got some shopping done, and John was left holding my bags. He didn't buy much, as usual. John usually window shops to get ideas...he always picks unique gifts...he puts a lot of thought into the gifts he gives. I, on the other hand, am all about practicality...if your skin looks dry, you'll get something from Bath and Body Works. hehehe....kidding. But as I mentioned before, I'm not much of a shopper.

Sarah and Parkin were still down with dinner, so we went to Chili's in San Bruno.

I got John into those boba drinks the last time I visited, so he took me to this relatively new place in Colma, called "Eggettes". Their boba drinks are pretty good, but they're known for these cool waffle-like pastries they make right in front of you. They also have these ultra hip flat screen pcs, with super-fast DSL connection along one wall where you can check email or surf the net. We hung out there till it got pretty late, and Ashlyn started to get grouchy. She cried the entire 40 minutes it took me to get home. *yikes!* Not pleasant. It was a fun day though.
