I had a very relaxing weekend...excluding the frightful jolt I felt Saturday morning. We had an earthquake of 5.4 magnitude near Big Bear City around 4:20am. Not many felt it (especially Aric). But heck yeah, I felt it! =O
I must have a sixth sense or something, because a weird feeling forced me to sit up in bed right before it hit. The house shook for a few long seconds...then....nothing. The scary thing about earthquakes is not knowing how long it's going to last and how bad it's going to get. A dozen things ran through my head while the ground shook...mainly, this would have to happen right when I declined Earthquake Insurance from the Homeowners Insurance agent! *slap forehead!*
I couldn't fall back to sleep right away. I kept worrying about aftershocks. I turned to Aric (who was sleeping deeply), and violently shook him.
Peg:*loud whisper* "Aric!...Aric!....Aric!"
Aric: "Huh?"
Peg: "We had an earthquake."
Aric: "Huh?"
Peg: "...an EARTHQUAKE!"
Aric: "When?"
Peg: "Just now."
Aric: "Was it big?"
Peg: "Not too bad, but I'm scared."
Aric: "Oh". *rolled over and went back to sleep*
So much for being the protector of the house. *roll eyes* hehehehe
Thanks to Evil for your email of concern. We're alright. =)

The rest of yesterday was just spent running errands, shopping, and hanging out at home with the hubby and baby.

Today was equally mellow. Aric, Ashlyn, and I went to Mitsuwa for lunch and then spent the rest of the day and evening at my father-in-law's. We didn't get home until after 10pm. Ashlyn had a great time with her grandfather and Netty. She's such a spoiled lil' girl!

I've been really bad at remembering to take pictures this weekend. The only picture I have is a neoprint taken today at Mitsuwa. It's been a while since we took one of those. *giggle* Hoped you had a fun filled weekend!
