BIRTHDAY to my bro-in-law, Patrick! Today was pretty nice and relaxing. Aric, Ashlyn, and I slept in. Had lunch at L&L's in Costa Mesa, shopped at Marukai, took advantage of the Memorial Day Sales and bought a new mattress at Sit N' Sleep, and relaxed at home. I cleaned up around the house as well as the backyard. Aric washed and waxed both cars. Ashlyn played with some new toys and watched her DVDs. Tonight Ed, Sue, and Liv came over for dinner. I made sushi bar and we pretty much stuffed ourselves. Afterwards, we sat around, talked, watched TV, and played with the kids. It's been a really long time since Ed and Sue came over for dinner. It was nice hanging out and catching up. We don't see them nearly as much as we used to. They're such busy folks. A bunch of friends went out of town for the weekend: Wil and Ivy went to NY, Bett went to Vegas, Cin and Matty went to Vacaville, Patrick went to Reno, Mouji-Boy went to San Diego, and Grace and James went to Chicago. I hope everyone had a fun long weekend and returned home safely. I hope y'alls had fun too! =) Pictures from today:
