HAPPY FRIDAY the 13th! Good lawd, can I just tell you how tired I am? Aric too...he must be dying at work today. =/ As you may already know, my site has been down since Wednesday. My friend who hosts my site had his server hacked into and everything had to be wiped out. Once he got the server up and running, Aric and I were busy reloading everything...it took much longer than expected. I didn't realize how much stuff I had on this site! =P
After Ashlyn went to bed, Aric and I stayed up last night (until 5am this morning) working on it...AND we still couldn't get everything up. *UGH!* After a few hours of sleep, I got up and worked on it some more....and now it's done...*WHEW!*...I hope. Please let me know if you come across any broken links.

Yesterday was a mellow day. Ashlyn got her eyes checked for the first time. Prior to going, I was wondering how babies' get their eyes examined (considering they can't talk). But my friend, Ray (who we went to see), did a series of tests involving big flash cards or toys to determine Ashlyn's vision. It was pretty neat. Ashlyn's vision checked out fine...which was a relief to me since Aric needed glasses at a really young age. Ray popped in a Teletubbies video for Ashlyn while I had my eyes checked. For over a year now, I've noticed that my eyesight is not as it used to be. I have a hard time making out words from across the street (while others can see them clearly). I'm sure it doesn't help that I spend so much time staring at the computer screen for so many years. Anyhow, I have a light prescription (reading glasses). Otherwise, all went well. Thanks, Ray!

Last night, after dinner, Aric and I took Ashlyn to Toys R Us to buy a basketball hoop. Like she's not enough of a tomboy already. hehehe
Ashlyn loves throwing the ball into the hoop. We looked at a couple of stationary hoops (Fisher-Price and Little Tykes), but they're still much too tall for her. We opted for one of those small ones that you can attach to the door or glass surface. Now she spends all her time chasing after the ball and tossing it into the hoop. hehehe
VH-1 was having a "I Love the 80's" marathon last night...9 hours of it!. CRAZY! I only caught a couple. It was great! =)

I'm taking it easy today. I've been deliriously going through the motions of caring for Ashlyn, but my head has been buzzing from a lack of sleep. Maybe I'll take a nap when Ashlyn goes down for hers. Aric and I don't have any plans for tonight, which is probably a good thing. But then again, things always come up last minute. We'll see. *wink* The weather is slowing warming up again. This weekend should be nice.

Have a good one!
