Not much to write about today. The weather's warming up...which is a welcome change from last week's dreariness. Ashlyn and I didn't do much today...we stayed home (as we've been doing for the last couple of weeks). I feel like such a hermit. hehehe

I enjoy it though...it's relaxing for me. I think one of the biggest reasons for staying home recently is that it alleviates stress associated with taking Ashlyn out. She continues to behave unruly. I don't know what it is, but I like to call it the "Helen Keller Craze". Have you ever seen the 1962 movie - "The Miracle Worker" (starring Patty Duke and Anne Bancroft)? There's a part in the beginning of the movie where Helen Keller goes around the dinner table wildly grabbing food off everyone's plate and grunting. And when Annie Sullivan tries to discipline Helen, the girl goes berserk. Well, it's kinda like that...
Ashlyn's going through something right now where she turns plain loco for no apparent reason. She is careless, rough, and destructive. She falls to the floor, cries, and throws tantrums a lot. I try to understand her, but she has a really difficult time conveying her thoughts and feelings. It comes out like gibberish, and then she gets even more impatient and frustrated. It's such a tough time for her right now.
There are times when she's perfectly fine...sweet, fun, pleasant...a semblance of her old self. But it's not very consistent. More often than not these days, Aric will ask me, "Did she take a nap?...Why is she being like that?" *shrug* Beats the hell outta me.

On a brighter note, Ashlyn was a very good girl today. It gives me hope. =)

Tonight Aric, Ashlyn, and I checked out the new IKEA that opened up in Costa Mesa. We had dinner there and shopped. The new IKEA is HUGE!...it's twice the size of the old Tustin Marketplace IKEA (about 310,000 sq ft)! We didn't buy much...we just wanted to take a looksee.

Aric recorded "Fame" for me tonight, and I watched it as soon as we got back. I was really surprised by the elimination - Lauren Hildebrandt and Gary Adams. =O
After last week's performance, I thought that Raymond Lee would be booted for sure. Not that he sucks...it just wasn't a strong performance. However, he kicked butt tonight! I look forward to next week's. The elimination process is brutal...I think the remaining 10 are all really talented.
Afterwards, I watched VH-1's "I Love the 80's". I finally caught the episodes I missed. *YAY!* What can I say?...1980-89 were some good times. hehehe

Alrighty..it's late. Going to bed!
